From its humble beginnings, the ISDE has turned into the team world championship of the Enduro scene. The 2021 KTM SIX DAYS models pay the ultimate tribute to the event that was originally set to take place in Italy in 2020 and had to be rescheduled for 2021. No chain is stronger than its weakest link, so no compromise can be made for those intent on crossing the finish line. KTM, once again, rises to the challenge with the latest, limited Six SIX DAYS edition of extra-tough machines. Easily identified by their special Six Days design, these bikes feature an extended list of top-of-the-line components, all specially designed and refined by KTM's own research and development department. POWER SUPERIORITY - Engine:
Combining compact dimensions with an immense power output, the KTM 500 EXC-F's fuel-injected SOHC engine is the most powerful and refined 500 cc on the market. Its class-leading power delivery is available throughout the entire rev range and with its low weight of only 64.4 lbs, this engine is the most compact, lighted and most competitive power plane out there.
OPTIMAL FLEX CHARACTERISTICS - Frame:
All EXC models feature high-tech, lightweight chromoly steel frames. This includes hydro-formed elements produces by state-of-the-art robot welding. With its race-proven geometrics and optimal stiffness, the frame provides great feedback for the rider, playful handling and remarkable stability. The laterally attached engine head stays (the connection between cylinder, head and frame) are made of aluminum, reducing vibration and further contributing to precise cornering. The bikes also feature lateral frame guards with a structured surface, improving grip, while also serving as a heat protector against the muffler weighing less than 900 gr, providing great rear fender stability.
SHAPED FOR CONTROL - Handlebar:
All SIX DAYS models are equipped with the same high-strength aluminum tapered handlebar, that can be mounted in four different positions. The handlebars come standard with an ODI vulcanized grip on the right side and a comfortable ODI lock-on grip, which does not require any wire or glue, on the left. Just in case you needed reminding that you were on a special machine, the handlebars feature the SIX DAYS logo.
