THE PERFECT MIX.

THE PERFECT MIX.

The success of the KTM 350 EXC-F has certainly made waves in the industry. Gaining instant recognition on its arrival in 2012, it has become a class-leading dual-sport model due to its 250-like agility and 450-like power. Ever since then, and most notably for 2020, the 350 EXC-F has gained significantly in performance and torque, as well as handling and agility. This new model delivers power even closer to a 450, while getting ever closer to the agility of a 250 - so, the basic idea of this bike is easy to see, and has been a recipe for success right from the start.

FEATURE HIGHLIGHTS:

BODYWORK & GRAPHICS: With input from KTM's factory riders, as well as KTM R&D and Kiska Design, the new bodywork of the KTM 350 EXC-F pushes the boundaries of progression even further. The result is a shape across the entire range, that achieves complete harmony between rider and bike. The main goal was to provide the optimal contact points that allow a rider maximum freedom of movement and improved handling. The front and rear fenders feature an intelligent I-beam design, guaranteeing maximum stability with the lowest possible weight. A new taillight design fits perfectly with the new shape of the rear fender and the number plate carrier. The new in-mold graphics confirm the high-performance intentions of this bike, as well as KTM's never-ending quest for race-winning progression.

CHASSIS: KTM engineers take weight loss seriously. As a result, they have crafted the 2020 KTM EXC-F models to be the slimmest, lightest, and quickest-turning dual-sport bikes available. And with an E-starter as standard, getting the big single turned over is as simple as pressing a button.

FRAME: All EXC models feature new high-tech, lightweight chromoly steel frames. This includes hydro-formed elements produced by state-of-the-art robot welding. They retain their race-proven geometries, but by redesigning certain areas they now have a higher lateral, longitudinal and torsional stiffness, resulting in better feedback for the rider, playful handling, and improved stability. The laterally attached engine head stays (the connection between cylinder, head, and frame) are now made of aluminum, reducing vibration and further contributing to precise cornering. The bikes also feature newly designed lateral frame guards with a structured surface, improving grip, while also serving as a heat protector against the muffler on the right side. The subframe is made of extra-light and stable aluminum profiles, weighing less than 2 lbs (900 gr), and is 40 mm longer than before, providing better rear fender stability.

WHEELS: KTM uses lightweight, CNC-machined hubs and high-end GIANT rims on all Enduro models, guaranteeing maximum stability and minimum weight. For 2020, the aluminum spoke nipples feature a reworked design, which conveniently reduces the frequency with which the spokes need to be tightened.

AIRBOX: The new airbox on the KTM 350 EXC-F has been completely reworked to ensure better flow dynamics, resulting in optimal power and throttle response. Despite the obvious performance enhancements, the new design also offers maximum protection against the soiling of the air filter. The large twin-air air filter is mounted on a cleverly designed stiff cage that minimizes incorrect installation. As found in previous models, filter maintenance is quick and easy and does not require tools - a standard, original feature from KTM.

TRANSMISSION: The KTM 350 EXC-F uses a new 6-speed transmission made by PANKL RACING SYSTEMS, which now features a stronger, forged raw material, ensuring the highest durability and reliability. There was no need to change the gear ratios that are perfectly matched to the power characteristics of the engine. All four-stroke engines are fitted with a gear sensor, giving the option of different engine characteristics for each gear.
